Public Health Strategist at Tranemo Municipality

Our Public Health Strategist is going on parental leave, so we are now looking for you who want to contribute to sustainable public health work in Tranemo Municipality.

As a Public Health Strategist, you will have an important role in planning, coordinating, and developing initiatives that promote health and prevent ill health in our municipality.

The position is located within the Development Function, a central function consisting of fourteen employees. Together, they provide support to the municipality's operations in matters concerning strategic public health work, environmental strategy, urban planning, business, land and development, quality assurance, safety issues, and communication.

Responsibilities

Based on the current agreement with the Southern Subregional Board, Västra Götaland Region, you will contribute to developing public health work in a positive direction and integrating the public health perspective into regular operations within the municipality.

You will lead and coordinate public health work according to our operational plan, including the associated budget and current governing documents.

Public health work is conducted at a strategic level and in collaboration with relevant parties both within and outside the organization, such as schools, social services, primary healthcare, and civil society.

The work may involve leading change processes, producing statistics, materials, and analyses, as well as supporting operations. Participation in various regional public health networks may occur.

Qualifications

You have a university degree in public health or an equivalent academic education.

• Have experience of collaboration and/or project management.
• Are accustomed to writing reports, investigations, and summaries.
• Have experience in strategic work within public health or a related field.
• Have experience working in a politically governed organization.

A driver's license for a passenger car is required.
